Why Riftstalker and not another soul?

The reason riftstalker was chosen over a ranged

soul, for example Marksman (as swift shot does

higher damage than quick shot) is because, when

you use a ranged ability it will switch to your ranged

weapon, by doing this when you go back into

melee rift can cause slight lag in realising that

you're actually back in melee range, so it will cause

a slight lag in the rotation, whereas Planar Strike is a

melee attack (just with an increased 20m range) and

only does 400 damage less than Swift Shot, but can

save you more dps if you were to have to go out of

melee range by not having to switch to your ranged

Masteries:

61 - Soul Steal - The only one worth getting for this spec, puts a debuff on the mob you're attacking for every dot you put on the mob for 1.5%, stacks to 3 max. This will be applied slower than usual as you wont use Impale in this spec.

62 - Revitalize - Use this for the increased range on Planar Strike (increases it to 20m)

63 - Juke and Run - Nothing else important in this row to make it important, and as a melee its always nice to have increased run speed - Juke and Run is chosen over  Spinters Guile as its 2% faster.

64 - Repetitive Strikes - For the increase on Expose Weakness (which needs to be re-applied because it wont refresh on finishers) and it has the highest dps increase.

65 - Energy Manipulation - Highest increase in ST dps. Use Planar Conservation when parsing as this spec suffers from drain without the 5% cost reduction.

Buffs:

Malicious Poison - Highest ST dps increase and used for the energy regen.

Lethal Poision - Used for the 5% crit debuff on mob.

---

You only get 2 Poison buffs with Assdancer, but if another rogue is assigned to do the crit debuff with lethal poison, you can use Virulent Poison, it does more dps than Lethal but because Lethal has the 5% crit debuff on mobs, it takes higher priority than Virulent.

Virulent Poison - If another rogue is using Lethal.

Macro's:

#show Backstab
suppressmacrofailures
cast Backstab
cast Savage Strike
cast Planar Strike

Planar Strike is fine to macro, as it doesnt cause lag when used - as mentioned before

#show Thread of Death
suppressmacrofailures
cast thread of death
cast jagged strike

I personally keep Slip Away on my main action bar, and put Jagged Strike in the same position on my stealth bar, but if you want to put it elsewhere use this macro:

#show Slip Away
suppressmacrofailures
cast Slip Away
cast Jagged Strike

Abilities:

Deadly Dance - Ability from Bladedancer that is procced when Finishers are used. Increases damage of builders by 60% - Very important to be used on certain abilities (listed below) You gain 3 stacks per finisher, max stack is 3.

Expose Weakness - De-buff on the target increasing damage taken by 6%  for 20 seconds, with the level 64 Mastery it increases the duration of EW to 1 minute. I don't recommend macro'ing this due to target swapping and wasting energy, but you can macro it if you want.

Jagged Strike - Inital Starter, applies a DoT to the target, lasts 10 seconds and procs Cloak and Dagger for 15 seconds. Jagged Strike takes Priority over other abilities when consuming Deadly Dance procs, as it will be a major part of your dps, so when ToD and Slip Away are up, you will use them as soon as you use a Finisher.

Serpent Strike - to be used ONLY when you have 1 or more stacks of Deadly Dance - As this increases the damage of Serpent Strike by 60% which is going to be a large part of your dps. Takes Priority of Deadly Dance over Puncture, Backstab and Savage Strike.

Backstab - Standard Builder - Does more dps when behind the target by 5% so if the fight allows it, be behind the target. Takes Priority over Puncture  and Savage Strike with Deadly Pose.

Puncture - Also to be used at 2-3 stacks of Deadly Pose - 10 second dot. Takes Priority over Savage Strike with Deadly Pose. The reason you use Puncture with 2-3 stacks as it's bugged if you use it at one stack, it wont buff the DoT Puncture gives, only the initial hit.

Savage Strike - Standard Builder when there is nothing else to use - Takes lowest priority of Deadly Dance.

Debilitating Dart - To be used during cd blocks (should line up with Lava Field/Enrage, if you use it every 30 seconds)

Deadly Strike - The only finisher you will use, as non-bd Finishers don't proc Deadly Dance.

Poison Malice - Standard CD - To be aligned with other raid cd's (e.g. Lava Field)

Blade Tempo - To be used with Flaring Power and other raid CD's - more on this during the rotation part.

Thread of Death - Allows stealth abilities to be used once when out of stealth - In this case it will be used with Jagged Strike, as it does the most dps.

Why don't we use Impale?

As stated before, Deadly Dance is going to be a main part of your dps here, and because Impale doesnt proc Deadly Dance stacks, its worthless and a dps loss to use.

Rotation:

The standard rotation (not including the cooldown block is fairly easy, you will build up to 5 combo points using abilities in the priority order listed above, using Deadly Strike as your *only* finisher.

To open you will start with: Stealth - Pre-cast your Energy Manipulation and EW (re-apply this when its about to drop off/target switching) - Jagged Strike - Savage Strike (x2 if you start at 0 combo points, aim to start at one) -

Here you will go into your 2 minute CD block.

Deadly Strike - Thread of Death (only apply the buff for ToD, it lasts 5 seconds and you want to delay it as much as possible) - Poision Malice - Debilitating Dart - Backstab - Blade Tempo - Jagged Strike - Deadly Strike - Serpent Strike

From here you will build to 5 combo points, using the priority order, and Slip Away on the last second of Cloak and Dagger, and you will delay Blade Tempo every time by 30 seconds to align with raid cd's.

Other than that keep Poison Malice and Debilitating Dart aligned with raid cd's throughout the fight (at one minute intervals)
