PvP Physician

58phys/10Bladedancer/8Ranger

Also the option of going 11/7 to pick up “Sprint”

Why 58 and not 61?

Since the beginning of Physicians life, it’s 61 point ability [Life Insurance] has been iffy in pvp due to the rule of “Procs don’t proc other procs” (and the heal portion of Life Insurance counts as a proc ~ So if a players proc is the reason for the killing blow, Life Insurance won’t work) ~ And you don’t go lower than 58 because Intensive Care is very strong.

Legendaries;

Maintenance Therapy ~ Every ST heal now procs this.

L Emergency Response

L Side Steps ~ Increases Movement Speed by 15% for 15s. (Whilst also increasing Dodge by 50%)

L Call: Razorbeast ~ Increases damage/healing by 20% for 20s. (30s CD)

Other subsoul options:

58phys/13BD/5SB

You gain an interrupt and a silence or a pull (L Shadow Lash or L Strangulate) and a sprint.

There are options to go into Riftstalker and pick up Planebound Resilience to act as a purge buffer. (And you get a port ~ L Shadow Shift)

Purges work in a first in-first out principle so the buff you apply first is the first one to get purged. You always do the most important buffs last.

Buffs;

Predatory Instincts

Simultaneous Treatment

Preventative Medication

Supportive Care ~ Use on the target you are healing ~ Swap as necessary.

Healing Cooldowns:

Intensive Care ~ Increases healing + absorption by 50% for 10s. ~ Use during burst damage phases.

Massive Therapy ~ Very Strong ST Heal (Use at 5 combo points and 3 stacks of Cognitive Enhancement for the maximum heal potential)

Kiss of Life ~ Brez, restores 100% of the targets HP with the level 63 mastery (Unstoppable) you can either choose to macro this with a mouseover or keybind it to a healing addon ~ You need to react quickly in case the other person respawns.

y %t Got dead 'cause he was stupid. Please proceed to laugh and point.

As an example of a rez macro.

Call: Razorbeast ~ 20% healing increase for 20s. 30s CD.

Emergency Response ~ I’d recommend using this as and when needed, preferrably above 60 energy (and close to when you have Adrenaline Shot coming off CD) ~ If used correctly ER is very strong in pvp.

~~

Biofeedback ~ Actually relatively weak in pvp ~ I usually use it when a player is above 50% and also being healed by someone else (good for the damage reduction)

Precise Diagnosis ~ I find there isn’t much use for this unless you’re at 0 combo points and there is a sudden burst damage phase and you need to use Massive Therapy asap ~ But I still prefer to Massive Therapy with 3 stacks of Cognitive Enhancement.

Healing Abilities

  • Causal Treatment ~ 1.5s cast time, awards 2 combo points ~ One of your main healing abilities.

  • Active Treatment ~ Spammable heal ~ Good for movement. Awards 1 combo point.

  • Causal vs Active spam ~ 1m healing over a 60s period difference between the two (Causal is stronger)

  • Urgent Care ~ Strong Spot heal

  • Expectant Treatment ~ Shields are relatively weak in pvp (which is why you rarely ever use finishers, because Preemp is just not worth it), but pre shielding is always good.

  • Group Therapy ~ 10 person hot. Keep this up.

  • Preemptive Therapy ~ Shield Finisher ~ Has a cast time because we took Ascended Biology (5% healing increase) over the cast time reduction. ~ Useful in matches like Ghar Station/Black Garden when nothing else is happening.

  • Utilities/Damaging Abilities

  • Mass Detox ~ 10 person cleanse. (10s CD) Cleanses are very important in pvp, but often overlooked.

  • Detoxification ~ ST Cleanse (small heal with every cleanse)

  • Viral Infection ~ Apply to the enemy and your healing will damage the enemy. This has a 40m range.

  • Adrenaline Shot ~ Gives 50energy ~ 20s CD (I use it around 30-40 energy)

  • Side Steps ~ Increases Dodge by 50% for 15s (increases movement speed by 15% for 12s as well if you picked the Legendary version)

  •          Dodge only works on physical attacks (see dodge tooltip). What is a physical attack? A physical attack is any attack that isn’t                tagged   with elemental damage (fire, water, life etc). You’ll find this mostly will work on Rogues (except NB and Shadeborn),              Shaman (as half their damage is physical) and a few Warrior souls (Champion, Paragon, Warlord) ~ It won’t work on any                      mage or primalist soul, as they are all non-phys attacks.

  • Sprint ~ Increases movement speed by 50% for 15s.

  • Mass Blood Transfusion ~ Good for finding stealths.

  • Break Free/Fading Light, I don't macro these because I don't use it on soft CC's like Snares and Roots when I don't have to, also Flash of Steel removes movement impairing effects, which is good as long as you don’t charge into the enemy team.

  • Alternative Treatment ~ *REALLY* weak in pvp, but good if there is nothing else to do and you need to top off multiple players.  (Pandemic is also terrible, but Pandemic is terrible everywhere.)

  • Anathema ~ Reduces healing taken by the target by 10% for 30s.

  • Confluences! They act as a purge barrier.

Maintenance Therapy Maximisation;

Maintenance Therapy procs from every ST heal you do, this includes ogcd abilities such as:

Reliquary of Rage

Visionary Healing Potion

Renewing Pod

So, theoretically, you can use all 3 of these together (whilst targetting a friendly player or yourself) and get 4 Maintenance Procs in a single GCD

“Rotation”

Healing rotation for phys is fairly easy.

When you’re not having to use CD’s you can alternate between Causal and Active. Using spot heals/CD’s as necessary ~ as stated earlier.

(Causal for large chunks of healing, Active for small, or Causal > Active for a large GCD heal)

Swapping Supportive Care onto players who need it

Keeping up Group Therapy

Apothecarys Will is great for things like Warlock Dots, it will proc from every DoT + Hit. I take Apothecarys Will over Planar Variation because PV is easily interrupted, and AW is ogcd that allows you to heal during it’s duration as well.

Always the option of pre-shielding, as stated earlier.
